  RESCUES
One of the most challenging missions to date: a call to rescue 9 Chincoteague ponies South of Bristol, Tennessee. Two new foals were born after the initial call. A colt, born Sunday April 22 and a filly, born Saturday April 28th.  Our transporter left at 9:00 pm. Saturday night April 28th with a crew of 3 volunteers.

Rescue Mission in Bristol Tennessee

After 10 hours, and 485 miles on the road, we arrive in Bristol Sunday morning at 5:30 am. Our crew stops for a break in front of
Bristol Motor Speed Way.
Upon arriving, we find a newborn foal, just 24 hours old. Laying out in the field next to its mother surrounded by the rest of the herd. No bedding or shelter.
A newborn colt just one week old
stands next to his mother.
A starving mom (Shadow) stands next to her newborn filly, protecting it from 2 stallions and the rest of the herd.
Shadow and her foal, we have named "Bristol", arrived safely at the rescue Sunday night.  Shelter, bedding, food and a safe environment were waiting.
Shadow, in her poor condition, and the safety of her filly was our immediate concern.  Arrangements are being made to remove the rest of the ponies.
The expense with this rescue is critical and will be long term. Transporting, medical expenses and feeding  will require the full support of anyone who can help us financially.

We need everyone's help and support!!
